Local first responders helping Santa ‘Fill the Stocking’
First Responders Respond held a “Fill the Stocking” fundraising event in downtown Mount Pleasant, at intersections surrounding the Titus County Courthouse, on Friday, Nov. 3.
The foundation, which was seeking donations from motorists and passersby, is comprised of Mount Pleasant and Titus County law enforcement personnel, firefighters and emergency medical service personnel.
“We’re always pleased with the participation of the community,” said Mount Pleasant Police Chief Wayne Isbell. “We help from 150 to 200 kids per year.”
All proceeds raised will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for financially disadvantaged children in Titus County.
First Responders Respond not only provides services during the holiday season, but throughout the year to citizens who have temporary emergency needs.
