Carl D. Lewis

Funeral Service for Carl D. Lewis, 59, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, will be 1:00 P.M Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Greater Bible Way Baptist Church. Burial in Blundis Creek Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. He died, Monday, January 8, 2024.

Carl was born July 11, 1964 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Carl Lee Lewis Sr. and Winnie Dean ( Jeffery) Lewis.

He was a member of Blundis Creek Baptist Church and was a 1982 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He married Tracie Johnson and to this union one daughter was born.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, wife, his daughter Kaysha, two brothers and a niece.

He leaves to cherish his memories sisters and brother-in-law Anna Mae Lewis, Clara Bates, Wilma and James Linwood all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Patricia and Hilton Washington of Gladewater, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law A. J. and Linda Lewis, Mary Lewis all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Charles Herrington and Darius Lewis of Gladewater, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
