Donald James Haynes, age 61, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was born on September 8, 1962, to Charles and Theresa Fontenot Haynes, Sr. in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Donald served in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Robison. He attended the Outpost Church in Mt Pleasant. Donald worked many years as a car salesman, insurance salesman and coaching softball.
Survivors include his daughter; Niki Huffman and husband Aaron, granddaughter; Ellie Kay Huffman, brother; Charles Haynes, Jr and wife Sharon, sister; Linda Diffey and husband Tony, nephew; Cody Haynes, niece: Brandi Hammond.
Preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Theresa Haynes, brother; Sidney Dwayne Haynes.
A Memorial service will be held at The First Baptist Church in Mt Pleasant, Texas, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Officiating the service will be Dr. Clint Davis and Bro. Brian Kimball.
The family of Donald Haynes has requested that donations be made to Cypress Basin Hospice.
