Vanessa Norman Newton

Funeral Service for Vanessa Norman Newton, 68, of Las Vegas, NM, will be 11:00 A.M Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Tumey Mortuary Chapel, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Interment Piney Cemetery, under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. She died February 6, 2024. She was born August 8, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Roy and Ruby Lorine (Ivory) Norman.

At an early age, Vanessa attended the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Mt. Pleasant. She attended Mt. Pleasant Public Schools. Vanessa loved interior decorating, and growing all plants and flowers. She was a great cook and was funny and very loving.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Calvin Norman, John Norman Sr., Eddie J. Norman; sisters Lillie Gilliam and Rose Hernandez.

She is survived by her children Mack Newton of Las Vegas, NV, Adreion Newton and Markesha Haynes both of Hobbs, NM; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother Roy Norman of Las Vegas, NV; sisters Georgia Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Janice Teycer and Sarah Norman both of Mt. Pleasant, Darla Black of Arizona, Debbie Norman of Dallas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
