Tigers fall in battle of state-ranked teams

  • The 11th-ranked Mount Pleasant soccer team went through most of the first half of district play undefeated to set up a matchup for first place in district against fourth-ranked Longview. The Tigers battled back after falling behind early but couldn’t complete the comeback in a 2-1 loss to the Lobos. The Tigers are 6-1 in district play and take on Hallsville Friday.
